Couple Cancels Vacation to Attend Friends' Wedding, Only to Find Out That They Gave False Wedding Dates Because It Was 'Funny'
Welcome, tea-spilling ladies. Picking your wedding dates takes a lot more consideration than just throwing a dart at a calendar and picking whichever day it lands on. You have to make sure that your special date does not coincide with the wedding, baby shower, delivery date, or birthday of your dearest and closest family members or friends so that they will be able to attend. You must also take care that your wedding does not fall on any religious or national holidays. Some couples use special dates to their advantage, choosing to get married on a particular saint's day, on the anniversary of their engagement, or on a day that has a date with an unique number pattern, such as August 8, 2008 (8/8/08).
In our story today, a pretentious couple finds this sort of thing tacky. Instead of simply choosing to host their wedding on any other day, they give out false dates to confuse their guests for being 'stupid' enough to think they would do something so kitschy, destroying friendships in the process. Scroll down for all the juicy deets.
